Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LensCareer ("Platform", "Service", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Platform.

2. User Accounts

2.1 Account Creation

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

2.2 Account Restrictions

You may only have one account. You must be at least 16 years old to use Platform.

3. User Content

3.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit, including reviews, salary data, and other information ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on Platform.

If you submit content while logged in, LensCareer may link that contribution to your account internally for moderation, fraud prevention, data export, and account deletion workflows. If you use an anonymous survey flow, LensCareer may store a first-party pseudonymous browser identifier and hashed IP for up to 90 days to prevent abuse and duplicate submissions. We do not use browser fingerprinting for this purpose.

3.2 Content Standards

Your User Content must not:

• Be false, misleading, or defamatory
• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on others' intellectual property rights
• Contain hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
• Include spam or promotional content
• Reveal confidential information without authorization

3.3 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Platform
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Submit false reviews or manipulate ratings
• Violate our rate limits or abuse AI features
• Interfere with Platform's operation

5. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its content (excluding User Content) are owned by LensCareer and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. Upon termination:

• Your right to use Platform ends immediately
• We may delete your User Content (except as required by law)
• You remain liable for any obligations incurred before termination

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
• All User Content is accurate or reliable
• Defects will be corrected
• The Platform is free of viruses or harmful components

User Content represents opinions of individual users, not LensCareer. We do not verify all content and make no representations about its accuracy.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LENSCAREER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages arising from your use or inability to use Platform
• User Content or third-party actions

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (if any).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold LensCareer harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of Platform
• Your User Content
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any laws or third-party rights

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or Platform notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Salary Survey Usage

Users participating in the salary raise and salary benchmark surveys on LensCareer may share the following data fields:

• Company information (if available)
• Position level, experience, city, work arrangement and company size breakdowns
• Salary increase rate or current salary information (with gross or net selection)
• 2025 mid-year raise information and optional contact email

This data is used for aggregate statistics generation, moderation and abuse prevention purposes. Individual responses are not shared publicly. Logged-in user contributions may be linked to accounts in internal systems; for anonymous survey responses, only first-party pseudonymous device identifiers and hashed IP anti-abuse signals are retained.

12.1 Data Retention

• Authenticated contribution records may be retained until account deletion or as long as required for legal/security purposes
• Anonymous survey anti-abuse logs and pseudonymous browser identifier records are retained for a maximum of 90 days
• Browser fingerprinting is not used

13. Artificial Intelligence Usage and Disclaimers

LensCareer may utilize AI-based analyses in certain product experiences:

• Automatic summary generation from company reviews
• Content classification and quality improvement processes

13.1 Important Disclaimers

• AI outputs are for informational purposes only, not professional advice
• Career decisions should not be based solely on AI outputs
• AI systems may produce incorrect or incomplete results

13.2 Data Security

• Only anonymous content is used in analyses
• Personal identifying information (name, email) is not sent to AI providers
• Third-party AI infrastructure may be used when necessary
